On Monday, April 28, 2025, Mr. Dela Cuesta, along with Lalaine Golong, Head of Bachelor of Science in Office Administration Program; Rolex Gelig, Coordinator of Student Affairs and Services; and Maylinda Manidlangan, CCO Staff Member, personally visited selected key business establishments in Ormoc City to forge partnerships for the upcoming internship program.
The response has been surprisingly overwhelming. Business owners expressed excitement, eager to discover and witness what the CCO students can offer and the new perspectives they can bring to their establishments. Moreover, business owners recognized the potential impact of the student internship program not just on their businesses but on the commercial growth of the city as well.
“We want to see what the students of City College of Ormoc can offer โ not only to our companies but to the cityโs progress as well,” one business representative said.
Mr. Dela Cuesta and his team have meticulously addressed every detail of the program, from establishing clear qualification standards to carefully designing the scheduling system, to ensure a smooth and effective internship experience.
Moreover, the CCO team plans to conduct additional visits and propose more partnerships with local businesses in the coming months. They aim to open even more doors for students and strengthen the collaboration between the academic sector and Ormocโs vibrant business community.
With the groundwork being carefully laid as early to date, the City College of Ormoc is confident that its pioneer batch of student interns will not only meet but also exceed expectations of the industry partners, making a meaningful impact wherever they are placed.
