Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences
The Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences (BSESS) is one of the new programs offered by the City College of Ormoc beginning Academic Year 2026–2027. This four-year degree program prepares future professionals and leaders in the fields of sports, fitness, exercise, health, and wellness.
The program supports Ormoc City’s vision of becoming the sports capital of Eastern Visayas by developing qualified professionals in coaching, sports science, athletic training, fitness, and sports management. It addresses the growing need for specialists who can strengthen sports development and promote healthier communities.
The BSESS program provides comprehensive training in exercise science, sports coaching, fitness assessment, sports management, recreation, and health promotion. As one of the pioneering Sports Science programs in Eastern Visayas, it offers students from Ormoc City and neighboring provinces access to quality, locally relevant education while contributing to workforce development, sports tourism, and public health promotion in the region.CAREER OP: Coaches, trainers, fitness professionals, sports program coordinators, and wellness entrepreneurs.
