Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
The City College of Ormoc (CCO) officially offers the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (AB Psychology) beginning Academic Year 2026–2027 as one of its newly opened academic programs. The program was established in response to the increasing demand for mental health professionals, the growing need for psychological services in Ormoc City and Eastern Visayas, and the institution’s commitment to expanding access to quality higher education for local learners.
The AB Psychology program is offered under the College of Arts and Sciences and is implemented in accordance with CHED Memorandum Order No. 34, series of 2017. The curriculum provides students with a strong foundation in psychological theories, human behavior, research methods, and practical applications through a combination of general education courses, core and elective psychology subjects, scientific research, and supervised practicum experiences. Through this program, CCO continues to empower aspiring psychologists and future mental health advocates while promoting inclusive and accessible education for all.
